In August, 1997 Val and Steve and Euni visited Mary and Freeman and Kate in St. Louis. Val and Steve were engaged, and Val wanted us to meet Steve before their wedding.

 Kimmswick, a small town on the Mississippi River, is south of Saint Louis.  The old buildings are preserved and contain specialty stores and restaurants.  Val, Steve, Euni and Mary took a day trip there.
