Baseball fans mourn two recent deaths. Sportscaster Joe Buck died June 18, 2002 in St. Louis at age 77. He had been severely ill and fans were prepared for the news. Then on Saturday, June 22, 2002 news of the death of 33 year old pitcher Darryl Kile was made public. When I took the photograph, I saw the store sign only as an attractive presentation of the Saint Louis Cardinals Baseball Team's logo. Now I see the photograph and think of the two men whose deaths saddened people  in Saint Louis and throughout the United States.
