Skidmore Fountain

Skidmore Fountain

This fountain, 112 years old, is located at the intersection of S. W. First and Pine Street in Portland, Oregon. Stephen G. Skidmore, a pharmacist during Portland's early years, provided in his will a sum of five thousand dollars for a public fountain at this site. Skidmore's friends donated the rest of the $18,000 cost. Olin Warner designed and made the fountain.
