Utahraptor

Utahraptor

This predator from the Cretaceous Period was 20 feet long and weighed nearly a ton. A replica stands at Dinosaur Park (http://www.dinopark.org) in Ogden, Utah. The Utahraptor, a member of the order of deinonychosaurs which means "terrible clawed lizards," had a sickle shaped claw twelve inches long located on the second toe of each foot. This knife-like weapon was used to slash at prey.
